Generally very good, except that where I am ((New Zealand) the turn-by-turn directions do not work if the route is created using Google Places or OSM. They work only if the route is created manually. A typical distance given for a nearby point is 14000km+, which suggests it's sending me the wrong way round the world. It would be great if that were fixed. Then the app would be superb. Rob

Until some months ago it was one of the best gps programs for the blind with many fantastic and unique features, but unfortunately it simply doesnt work stable and this state persists by last 6 months with some short and negligible improvements. Some weeks the app works perfectly, in other times is totally unusable, especially routing functions. In fact as a blind person, with current problems with basic functionality of the app, you simply cant rely on it, particularly in unknown arrea. The developer simple ignores contact attempts. The current state of the program is not acceptable for blind community, that cares about independence and mobility. Uninstalling. :(

Today was the first time I've used this app. Both my wife and I are blind, and we were looking for an app that does just what this app does. We've tried other apps like Lazarillo and Nearby Explorer. Neither of those apps do what Dot Walker does. We love the fact that we not only get the names of street names and cross streets, but we also get the way the streets are laid out as well as businesses that are around us. We wish, however that we could change from meters to feet. We understand feet better than meters. Otherwise, this product is absolutely perfect. Its just what we were looking for. Thanks ever so much for a fantastic app.
